Lead Generation Sites: A Real-Life Example From CFgear

CFgear is a custom flash drives company located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and we agreed to take them on as a client in the summer 2007 mainly because their business goals were quite similar to ours. Like us, they go out of their way to help each prospective customer on a personal and individualized level, providing a level of service and commitment not found very often in today’s fast-paced world. We have offered a broad range of services for this client, including web design, internet content marketing strategy, and search engine optimization work, but today our focus will be on the work we did to help CFgear develop lead generation websites.

The basic premise behind lead generation websites is quite simple: They exist to generate leads which will hopefully turn into buying customers. Lead generation sites can be blogs or traditional web pages, but usually they consist of informative and/ or promotional content designed to explain to customers what type of services the main website provides. Lead generation sites often link back to a company’s main website so that interested visitors can continue on their search there. Lead generation websites can also stand alone without links back to a company website and may drive traffic toward completing a simple contact form or calling a special phone number used for tracking lead creation.

Two of the many lead generation sites we’ve helped CFgear implement are Bulk Flash Drives and Wholesale Flash Drives. CFgear has a wide customer base, and they sometimes market themselves to churches, colleges, sports teams, and other specialized groups, but BulkFlashDrives.com and WholesaleFlashDrives.net are directed at a more generalized audience. We designed these sites to appeal to all individuals and organizations who are interested in purchasing a large quantity of custom flash drives that are both high quality and affordable.

Each site is large enough to function on its own, but the websites also contain plenty of links back to CFgear’s main web page. BulkFlashDrives.com, for example, has its own blog, and portions of the content on that blog have been provided by members of the CFgear team themselves. Both sites incorporate the CFgear logo in many locations, and they even contain a number of testimonials from CFgear’s numerous happy customers. Both, of course, also detail CFgear’s customization tools, which include infinite color combinations, unique flash drive options, and even custom packaging. Both BulkFlashDrives.com and WholesaleFlashDrives.net provide a variety of sample photos of finished custom flash drive projects.

The lead generation sites Sozo helped design for CFgear are an integral part of CFgear’s marketing campaign. Lead generation sites may help increase exposure of a business within a competitive niche on the web or even boost a business’s rankings in terms of SEO. Lead generation sites may provide companies with an opportunity to put a spin on their company’s image to market to a specialized audience, to try out different web design features that weren’t used on the main company page, or just to spread the word about their business on the internet. Lead generation websites can also be crafted to work hand-in-hand with an AdWords campaign. However a company chooses to use them, lead generation sites may be an excellent tool for your business to consider.
